Nash County s Emergency Services department offers a variety of fire and accident prevention programs and public education services. It consists of four divisions, including fire marshal, emergency medical services, 911 communications and emergency management. Its division of fire services is responsible for coordination of fire protection activities for more than 15 fire departments located throughout Nash County. The emergency medical services department provides various medical services, including advance life support care, pre-hospital emergency care and convalescent transport. It also provides public education and awareness about emergency medical services, child safety seats, bike safety and public safety. The department s 911 communications division operates and maintains a county-wide radio and provides coordinated law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services to residents. Its emergency management division plans, prepares and responds to natural emergencies and disasters and works with emergency response agencies, governmental services and private industries. Its office is located in Nashville, N.C.
