My father was a general surgeon, and my mother was a medical technologist. I admired them both for the work they did. Since I love helping people, medicine feels like home to me. This is the field where I know I belong. \n My approach to healthcare is to look at each patient as an individual and try to understand their unique needs. I'm not afraid to show compassion; I want my patients to feel cared for and nurtured. \n I'm proud to have received an award for excellence in service and professionalism in the coastal market from Novant Health in 2022. \n I met my husband in Wilmington. We have two beautiful children - a son and a daughter. I love family time. In fact, spending time with my children is my favorite hobby. We love to travel and to be out in nature - especially if we're on a boat.
