Mama's Y Papa's began as a concept of Mexi-Soul that we created while Papa's was working overseas and Mama's was stateside. In 2020, we took a leap of faith, purchasing a food truck online and diving headfirst into the world of food service. Our adventurous spirit led us to adopt Birria that same year, a bold move that quickly gained recognition. Unfortunately, a setback occurred in 2020 when our trailer was stolen. However, we persevered, partnering with Tasti Tacos in Durham in 2021 to introduce an All-Birria concept. This collaboration earned us accolades from Carolina Eater, being named a top Mexican restaurant in the Triangle in both 2021 and 2023. In 2022 we left Tasti and purchased a second food truck while continuing our All-Birria mission. Our dedication and unique culinary style caught the attention of a franchise director in March 2024, opening doors to a promising future.
