Lee Industries offers furniture in fabrics and leathers. In 1969, Bill and Dottie Coley decided to manufacture furniture built to the quality standard they wanted for their own home. They opened a 7500-square-foot factory, hired 10 people and Lee Industries was open. The company has been featured in magazines such as Do It Yourself, Cottage Living, Array, Shop Etc., Country Living, Country Home and Better Homes & Gardens Decorating. Lee uses steel-coil springs in its eight-way hand-tied seat decks. This keeps the springs from shifting and creating uncomfortable lumps and bumps. Each spring is supported by polypropylene and steel strapping to provide customers with long lasting and comfortable seating. Lee Industries is headquartered and has three plants in Newton, N.C.
