History
Krav Maga is derived from two ancient Hebrew words, krav translated as combat and maga translated as contact to form contact combat. Krav Maga philosophy is to never do more than necessary but to react with speed, economy of motion, and the appropriate measure of force. Striking is taught based on instinct. There are no rules as Krav Maga is self defense, not sport, and based on street fighting. Krav Maga is taught under controlled conditions to ensure safety. Our school was founded by four practitioners who decided to become instructors. We have a passion for this form and we enjoy teaching others and take great pride in the Krav Maga history.
