Kinston High School offers a variety of educational and co-curricular programs. Founded in 1970, the campus is a facility of more than 77 acres. It has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students and over 100 faculty members. The school offers various academic programs, such as English, math, science, social studies, history, history, government and humanities. It also provides other subjects that include reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary, computer applications and physical science. The school has various activity clubs, including anchor, competitive science, drama and prop clubs. Its science club organizes science Olympiads and quiz bowl competitions, and competitions in various topics, such as engineering, biology, chemistry and Earth science. The school is located in Kinston, N.C., and is affiliated with Lenoir County Public Schools.
