In 1946, George and J. Wade Kincaid began making cedar chest and wardrobes in a small building with five employees in Hudson, N.C. Today Kincaid Furniture Company is a leading manufacturer of solid wood furniture. The company s selection includes five different categories of collections: traditional, country, European, contemporary and West Indies. In total, 23 collections among the five categories. Kincaid Furniture Company also offers a line of custom-upholstered chairs and furniture in addition to its more standard dressers, end tables, bed frames and ottomans. Kincaid Furniture is a wholly-owned subsidiary of La-Z-Boy and maintains its corporate headquarters in Hudson.
