Ever since I was a young kid in Toronto, I knew I wanted to be a physician. I find the human body - and especially the heart - fascinating, and I love the challenges inherent in managing disease. \n But what I have found I really value is being able to talk to my patients, get to know them, understand what motivates them and then help them feel better and live longer, healthier lives. \n I am a big believer in making decisions together with my patients. Every patient is unique - not only in their medical history, but in their experiences, preferences and goals. A treatment plan for one may not be right for another. \n I manage a wide range of cardiovascular disease, including coronary disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease and vascular disease. I specialize as a cardiac imager, reading CT scans, MRIs, nuclear studies, echocardiograms, vascular studies and electrocardiograms. I am board-certified in advanced echocardiography and vascular imaging. \n Although I grew up in Canada, I've lived in the Southeast since 2009 and in North Carolina since 2020. My family includes my wife and our two dogs. In my spare time, I'm probably barbecuing, playing tennis, kayaking, hiking and generally enjoying the great outdoors.
