The Housing Authority of the City of High Point (HPHA) is dedicated to providing eligible families and individuals with affordable and suitable housing options, economic advancement opportunities, and pathways to homeownership in a safe and drug-free environment. Through various programs, including rental subsidies, urban development investments, and affordable housing initiatives, HPHA aims to create a positive impact on the community and improve the lives of its residents.
With a mission to uplift the lives of children living in poverty, the Community Tutoring Literacy Connection (CTLC) partners with HPHA to offer afterschool tutoring programs focused on health, education, arts, reading, and training. These free tutoring sessions, provided by High Point University student athletes, aim to inspire children to value education, excel academically, and graduate on time. In addition to tutoring, the CTLC program also provides increased access to healthy local food, further enhancing the well-being of the children and their families.
