High Meadows Golf & Country Club was designed by George Cobb, renowned golf course designer, in 1963 and incorporated in 1964. The clubhouse was built in 1966. The land that is now High Meadows was once a hunting ground for the Cherokee and used once as a campsite for Daniel Boone.
