History
A call came in early 2011 to Jeff Tonidandel (owner of Crepe Cellar Kitchen & Pub - a neighboring restaurant) that the space next door was available. As a lover of craft beer, and a believer in the craft beer trend, Tonidandel and business partner, Paul Manley, jumped on the opportunity to create a new concept, centered around craft beer and 'beer food'. Growlers Pourhouse opened its doors on August 25, 2011 for the first time. Now having been on Draft Magazine's Top 100 Beer Bars in America for 5 years, the local, down-to-earth bar strives to provide the best rotating beer list in the city, with Jeff Tonidandel, Charlotte's first Certified Cicerone, choosing all the beers in house - on tap, in bottles, on the reserve list and from their 1937 refurbished beer engine.
