Founded in 1998, Forestview High School is a part of the Gaston county Schools that operates more than 50 schools and serves over 33,000 students. The high school has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students and offers courses in English, Business Education, fine arts, foreign languages, math, social studies, science, and trade and industrial education. Its student services consists of counselors, a career development Coordinator, school nurse, social worker, psychologist, guidance secretary, and a testing coordinator. Its counselors assist with orientation, course planning, personal issues, college selection, vocational planning, scholarship and financial aid application. Located in Gastonia, N.C., the school operates a Freshman Academy that offers curriculum in algebra, English, earth science and world history. Its academy helps ease students into the full high school experience.
