Cyn-Mar is family owned and operated. The business began in 1955 when Dr. D. Buren Oliver gave his wife Wilma an orchid plant for their 10th wedding anniversary. One plant grew into several more and before long Doc Oliver built the first greenhouse. As the local florist called to buy some of "Wilma's Orchids" Cyn-Mar was born. One orchid plant and one greenhouse has grown into 100, 000 square feet of heated greenhouse space and a thriving business of 52 years. Wilma is still active in the business as well as her daughter Carolyn and husband Mike.
