Incorporated in 1963, the Fairview Rural Fire Department provides a variety of fire safety and prevention programs to the general public. The department serves the residents of Wake County in North Carolina. It offers life, property and environment protection services. The department additionally provides fire intervention, public education and safety awareness programs. It offers fire fighting training classes and emergency medical and rescue services. The department provides fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties. It also offers safety tips and related information on smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and alarm systems. The department coordinates through fire engines, responder vehicles and trucks. It operates the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that supports the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty. The Fairview Rural Fire Department is a part of the government of Wake County.
