Emma Elementary School is a National Blue Ribbon School and has an annual enrollment of more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school operates the Cougar News Club, which provides the opportunity for students to write and produce a news show for the school. It offers educational classes in various subjects, such as reading, writing, math, social studies, science, music, art, health and physical education. Emma Elementary School is a part of Buncombe County Schools and is located in Asheville, N.C.
