Established in 1964, Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf is a day and residential facility for the education of children who are deaf and hard of hearing. It is accredited by the Conference of Educational Administrators Serving the Deaf and Southern association of Colleges and Schools. It provides a wide range of individualized comprehensive educational, vocational and residential programs, including audiology, child psychiatry, educational assessments, independent living skills and behavioral counseling. In addition, it offers orientation and mobility, sensory integration, and physical and occupational therapies. Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf is under the jurisdiction of the Office of Education Services, and is located in Wilson, N.C.
