I was a professional patient before I became a physician assistant, or PA. I felt a true calling to go into medicine after experiencing the care I got from PAs and nurse practitioners as I was navigating my own tough medical issues. I wanted to serve in the same capacity for my own patients. \n Relationship building is important to me in the care of my patients. I truly want patients to feel welcomed when they come to my office and know that I want them to be in the best health possible. I believe that a positive attitude and a little humor, when appropriate, can go a long way in improving our health. \n I am happily married to my wife, whom I met in an unlikely place - the cadaver lab at PA school. (Yes, she's alive.) We have two wonderful children and enjoy spending quality time together as a family - especially if it's at the beach or Disney World. If I'm not in the office, I'm usually finding projects to do around the house.
