Wayne Country Day School
Wayne Country Day School was founded in 1968 as an independent, coeducational day school that enrolls more than 260 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, modern languages, fine arts, and physical and health education. The school provides opportunities for students to participate in several athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis and volleyball. It also involves students in the National Spanish Honor Society, the National French Honor Society, quiz bowl, and science and yearbook clubs. The school additionally provides financial assistance to students. Its 40-acre campus includes a media center, gymnasium, playground, outdoor art studio, math and science laboratories, and art and weight rooms. Wayne Country Day School is located in Goldsboro, N.C., and is an accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Southern Association of Independent Schools.
