Canines for Service, established in Wilmington in 1996, is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization and the longest operating, internationally accredited ADI service dog provider in North Carolina. They serve Veterans from all conflicts with service-connected post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST), and/or mobility limitations at no cost and without any fundraising obligation.
