History
Giacomo Cangialosi was born and raised in a small town in Palermo. While growing up in Italy he learn the trade of butchering. At this time he learned all the steps of his trade from slaughter to retail. , At the age of twenty-one he came to the US from Sicily. He began his career in the US in NYC by working as a butcher. A few years later, he ended up going to Newport News Va as a chef for an Italian restaurant. From there, he decided to move to NC and has been here ever since. In 1981, we purchased an Italian restaurant. Which we owned and operated for ten years. In 1991, Giacomo wanted to get back to the roots of the meat business and created Cangialosi Specialty Sausage where his focus was solely on Italian Sausage. At this time we became a USDA government inspected facility. As the business grew, the product list grew as well. We are first generation family owned and operated business located in Greensboro, NC.
