Located in Burgaw, N.C., Pender High School serves more than 700 students in grades nine through 12. Founded in 1975, the school runs a five-period day with 70 minute periods. It offers a wide array of courses, including arts, business, marketing, English and language arts, science and social studies. Additionally, it provides more than 40 different clubs, sports and extracurricular activities. The school also conducts classes in performing arts and health and physical education. It has a technology department that offers technology education to students. The school s foreign language department offers classes in various languages, including Spanish, French and German.
