North American Roofing Services is a provider of roofing solutions and installations. Founded in 1972 in Indianapolis, the company coordinated with Firestone Building Products during its first years of operations and was the largest Firestone contractor in the United States. The company became a private-label manufacturer in 1984 and introduced the concept of the manufacturer installing its own roof system. It also introduced its patented Perma-Lok roof attachment assembly in 1984. In 1992, the company established NorthStar Building Services, a division of North American Roofing Services. North American Roofing Services private-label systems include ethylene propylene diene monomer, thermoplastic polyolefin, built-up roofing, modified, metal and coatings. It also carries brand name products from other manufacturers, such as GAF, Carlisle, Soprema, Johns Manville and Geneflex. North American Roofing Services maintains operations in Arden, N.C.
