Internal medicine practitioners
Kathleen Stutesman, FNP
I took a medical science course early in high school and became interested in health care. Several years later, my mom was treated for Stage 2 breast cancer. She felt very supported by her FNP (family nurse practitioner) throughout diagnosis and treatment. That made an impact on me. She has been in remission for 10 years.\n After working as a registered nurse in adult medical and critical care services at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, I went on to earn a master's degree at UNC Charlotte so I could work as an advanced practice provider in family medicine. \n I provide comprehensive, patient-centered care, by which I mean taking the time to hear you out and make recommendations based on your needs and values. \n I am recently married and live in Charlotte with my husband. My parents and siblings also live in the Charlotte area, and we spend most weekends together. I enjoy reading, exercise, and travel and am a big fan of Tar Heel basketball.
