The Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR) is a 501C-6 organization dedicated to supporting the independent restaurant community in Asheville, NC. Founded in 2003 by four local restaurant chef owners, AIR aims to foster a culture of collaboration and stewardship among its more than 150 members, making it the largest organization of its kind in the U.S.
AIR is not only about serving delicious, locally-sourced, and award-winning food, but also about making a positive impact in the kitchen, at the table, and in the community.
