The last company I worked for closed within 2 weeks. I thought I would have to work for another company, our best telemarketer convinced me to go on my own and make phone calls. We did, however she changed her mind at the last minute and I was really on my own. My wife convince me to try, so I did and contacted different companies we worked in the past. We slowly got busy, with the help of few companies, including the federal government (FPS) and social security buildings.
