Internal medicine practitioners
Lisa Wilson, MD
When I was just 4, I told everyone I was going to be a physician when I grew up. Throughout school, I always loved science. But I also knew I wanted to work with people. Medicine allowed me to use science in the service of people - the perfect blend of my interests. \n As lead physician at my clinic, I provide very patient-centered care. Not every patient is going to choose the same treatment option, and I always want to tailor their care to fit their needs. I listen to my patients to understand what's important to them. The relationships I form with patients is the most rewarding part of my job. I have been lucky to care for some patients over a very long time period and through many seasons of life. \n I grew up in Ohio and have lived in Charlotte since 2009. My husband - who's also a physician - and I have two teenage boys and a dog, Curry, who is queen of the house. I love reading fiction, cooking and baking. I also love travel and spend much of my free time either planning our next trip or riding my Peloton bike. One of my favorite vacations was spent in Iceland, but I love everywhere we go!
