The YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester is an organization that works to eliminate racism, as well as empower women. It serves more than 4,000 women, children and their families every week. The organization administers a variety of child care, nursery school, after-school, summer camp, athletic and mission-based programs. The YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester also provides a home for over 180 low-income women. It focuses on the emotional, social, physical, cognitive, creative and aesthetic development of children. The organization conducts a range of swimming instruction classes for individuals. In addition, the YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester offers a training and coaching program for nonprofit organizations.
