The Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) is an internationally renowned multicultural youth chorus founded by Artistic Director Francisco J. Néz. With a mission deeply rooted in diversity, YPC provides children of all cultural and economic backgrounds with a unique program of music education and choral performance. Their artists' virtuosity and showmanship have earned them numerous awards, including a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, and the distinction of being named Choir of the World at the International Choral Kathaumixw.
YPC's upcoming season features performances with iconic artists and venues in New York City, including The Metropolitan Opera, American Ballet Theatre, Carnegie Hall, and David Geffen Hall. They recently won an Emmy Award for their feature-length holiday special, Topsy Turvy New York, which captures the joy and relief of their young performers emerging from the pandemic. YPC's gala events raise funds to support their programs, which benefit over 2,000 choristers each year.
