Youngs Memorial Cemetery was first used as a burial ground in 1658. But it wasn't chartered until 1900. This small, hilly patch is shaded by trees and overlooks Oyster Bay.
The cemetery also sits at the end of Cove Neck Road, the route to Sagamore Hill, the estate of President Theodore Roosevelt.
Roosevelt died at Sagamore Hill on Jan. 6, 1919. He was 60.
Roosevelt's final resting place is a fenced in plot at Youngs.
The cemetery is also home to the Townsends, a prominent Oyster Bay family.
