This large shul boasts of being the largest Orthodox congregation in the Five Towns. Rabbi Hershel Billet and Associate Rabbi Shalom Axelrod serve as religious leaders. There are seven daily minyans available for morning service at Young Israel of Woodmere, along with four minyans for Shabbos morning service. Torah lessons are also given every day. The shul offers an adult education program, which is good for people who may have limited knowledge of Hebrew and the Torah. A library is open Sundays from 9:30am to noon and is open to the public. There are also programs available for women and children.
