Wildlife Rescue Rehabilitation (WRR) is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 by Lynn Cuny. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife, while also providing sanctuary, individualized care, and a voice for other animals in need. WRR receives over 10,000 wild animals every year, including mammals, birds, and reptiles, and provides permanent residence to over 500 animals in their wildlife sanctuary.
Committed to wildlife protection and ethical relations between humans and the natural world, WRR believes that all animals, regardless of species, deserve care, attention, and respect. They offer various opportunities for volunteers to learn about South Texas wildlife and assist in their recovery. With facilities operating seven days a week, WRR aims to give animals a comfortable and stimulating home for the rest of their lives, ensuring no animal lives behind bars.
