Westchester Modular Homes provides modular construction services to clients in the Northeast region of the United States. Homes are constructed in a climate-controlled factory. Modular homes, in comparison with traditional stick-built products, are built with 20 percent more wood in the framing process. In January 2000, Westchester Modular Homes became an employee-owned company and it offers markets their homes through a network of independent builders in a nine-state area including New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. Its headquarters facility is near the Connecticut border in Windgale, N.Y. Westchester Modular invites all interested homebuyers to tour its factory. The tours are free and open to the public, but all participants must be 18 years old to tour the factory.
