Founded in 1911, New York Farm Bureau is a nongovernmental volunteer organization financed and controlled by families for the purpose of solving economic and public policy issues challenging the agriculture industry. It works with a network of more than 36,000 members. It is a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation, which is a national organization of farmers and ranchers including farm bureaus throughout the United States. It administers various programs.
