Ursuline Social Outreach, 138 Centre Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10805, US

The Adult Learning Center, an iniative of Ursuline Social Outreach, runs English literacy programs and career training for Spanish-speaking immigrants. The school currently trains more than 150 students a year. Approximately 70 volunteers, mostly retired teachers, help adult students master English skills; prepare resumes; and learn job search techniques. There is a registration fee to enroll; classes are offered regardless of citizenship status.
