Since its inception in 1859, the United Methodist Church of East Meadow has welcomed people from all over Long Island to practice its faith. Reverend Pastor Cedric Johnson tells his congregation that "it is time for the East Meadow United Methodist Church family to come together to tell God our hopes and dreams, along with our worries and fears about the future of the church." While each member of the community comes to church for a different spiritual reason, Reverend Pastor Johnson tells members "we must spend time in prayer meditation and conversation with God and each other."
