Established in 1991, the United Activities Unlimited PS18 Beacon Center provides family preventive services and a teen program funded by the Pinkerton Foundation. The school-based centers offers various programs in sewing, swimming, weight training and aerobics to more than 3,000 children. Littig House Community Center Inc. is a nonprofit incorporated agency established in 1951 to enhance the quality of life for youth and their families in Port Washington. The target population includes those community members residing in the Town of North Hempstead, Port Washington community.
