The Island Park school opened in April of 1983 and has grown into the school it is today. We have trained some of the best martial artists, wrestlers, Boxers and kickboxers in the world.

Old Greenwich Karate

Started in 1997, Old Greenwich Karate teaches Isshinryu Karate and Escrima (Filipino stick and knife fighting). Although eighty percent of Master Rick Zimmerman's students are children, he has instructed anyone from ages three and a half to adult. Starting at the age of 15, Master Zimmerman has now reached the level of 6th Degree Black Belt. His unique, user-friendly style of teaching ensures that kids are having fun while they learn, significantly increasing their dedication and the chance that they will reach Black Belt level.
