The Tuckahoe Union School Free School District enrolls about 1,100 students in grades K–12 who live in Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Bronxville and Chester Heights. Children must be five years old by December 1, 2010, in order to attend kindergarten. Parents and guardians must bring two documents to prove residence, such as a property tax bill, Con Ed bill or NY state driver's license. Your child's original birth certificate and immunization record, including date of last physical exam, are also required. The district includes the Cottle Preschool at 53 Winter Hill Road in Tuckahoe; the William E Cottle Elementary School, located at 2 Siwanoy Blvd in Eastchester, is for kindergarten through fifth grade. Its enrollment is approximately 500 students. Tuckahoe Middle School in Eastchester is for students in grades 6–8. The school has about 250 students. It is among the few schools in NY to receive a Great Schools Rating of 10 out of 10.
