Town of Smithtown Smithtown Youth Bureau
Since 1980, the Smithtown Youth Bureau has been dedicated to creating social conditions that promote the well-being of Smithtown's children, youth and families through many different services and programs. The Bureau plans and supports anti-bullying initiatives, leadership development activities and prevention programs. Executive Director Patsy Hirschhorn and her staff also administer the Parent Resource Center, which offers workshops and activities to help parents through all stages of their children's lives. The Bureau is always seeking interested high-school-age residents to participate in a town-wide youth council.
