Coeymans Town Supervisors is a department that operates under the Town of Coeymans in New York. Founded in 1673, the Town of Coeymans is a part of the County of Albany, N.Y., and was named after Barent Pieteres Koijemans who arrived in the town from Holland in 1639. The town has various departments, including the assessor, building, business office, court, highway, planning board and police departments. It also has the town board, town clerk, waste water treatment plant, zoning board and the youth services department. Town of Coeymans has several other offices and departments, such as the Albany County Legislator 36th District and 37th District, Coeymans Fire Company, Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Company and the Ravena Hose Company. It also has the Ravena Coeymans Historical Society, Ravena Grange and the RCS Community Library.
