History
I was diagnosed with TMJ back in 1986, was fitted for and given a night guard to keep me from grinding my teeth. I told that was all that could be done at that time. 30 years later while attending massage therapy school I was enlightened to the fact that the jaw is controlled and suspended by muscle. I've since taken and mastered numerous massage therapy techniques (Deep Tissue, Moyfascial Release, Cranial Sacral, TMJ Muscle). All of which are instrumental in the release of the pain associated with TMJ dysfunction.
