History
The Tiny Tots Playhouse was established in 1936 by Ann Dalmau, better known as Miss Ann. A Pioneer in her field, Miss Ann opened the two room school house to provide a nurturing learning environment for the children of the neighborhood. She taught with the care, dedication, and values that she taught her own children. Those traditions are still very much a part of our ideals. When Ms. Ann passed away in 1999, her daughter Kim took over as Director. Kim, together with her sister Nini, decided to partner with the Department of Education to provide the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program to all eligible children in the community. Combined, our staff has over 50 years of teaching experience. The current staff has worked together for over 30 years, continuing the values and ideals that the school was founded on. Our staff has educated students that have gone on to become the doctors, lawyers, and business owners that continue to serve the neighborhood today.
