Newburgh Diagnostic Center
Founded in 1862, the McQuade Emergency Diagnostic Assessment Centers is a part of McQuade Children's Services, which is a nonprofit organization that offers therapeutic residential care, special education, emergency shelter services and community-based prevention programs. The McQuade Emergency Diagnostic Assessment Centers provides professional diagnostic and crisis care, including short-term special awareness programs, as well as psychological, psychiatric, educational and behavioral assessments. It also offers therapeutic group homes in addition to placement diversion, family preservation, independent living, and recreational and mentoring programs. The centers is affiliated with the New York State Department of Education, National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services and Council on Accreditation for Families & Children.
