In addition to teen instruction, Twin County also offers five-hour pre-license classes, road-test preparation and six-hour defensive driving classes.

The defensive driving course can reduce insurance premiums by 10 percent and up to four points off license.

The instructors are New York State-licensed, have dual controlled cars and offer free pick-up.

Hamden Driving School

Hamden Driving School is located on the third floor of Dematteo Building at 2911 Dixwell Avenue. Since June of 2009, Hamden Driving School has offered classes in safe driving for teens and adults. Thirty-hour teen classes, including eight behind the wheel hours, are available for those looking to obtain a license and eight-hour safe driving classes for teens and adult are offered as well.
