Established in 1904 and located in New York City, Stuyvesant High School is one of the leading high schools specializing in mathematics, science and technology programs. The school offers classes from grades kindergarten through 12 and enrolls more than 2,000 students. It offers a wide range of subjects in its curriculum, including English, math, science, history, social science, world languages, visual and performing arts, agriculture, vocational education, business, consumer science, physical education, and elective programs in sciences. Stuyvesant High School also provides a variety of athletics, such as football, tennis, volleyball, golf, swimming, gymnastics, basketball, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, and softball. It operates a cafeteria that offers breakfast and lunch services to the students. The school offers transportation services and has a parent-teacher association. It houses a fully equipped library, a media center and a computer lab.
