Assemblyman Robert Barra represents Lynbrook residents in the state's 14th Assembly District. Barra, first elected in 2000, has had an illustrious career in the Lynbrook community. He graduated Lynbrook High School, served as a Lynbrook village trustee and represented the village as a Town of Hempstead councilman. As a state lawmaker, Barra helped strengthen state gun regulations after a priest was fatally shot at a Lynbrook church in 2002. Barra lives in North Lynbrook with his wife and two daughters.
