A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Carolyn Douglas is Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and Adjunct Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. After joining the faculty at Columbia in 1984, Dr. Douglas specialized in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized patients with complex psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral problems, often complicated by medical illness or substance abuse. In the past, she served as Director of the medical-psychiatric inpatient unit at Columbia University Medical Center, Co-Director of the McKeen Behavioral Unit (Columbia Neuropsychiatric Service), and Medical Director of the Comprehensive Evaluation Service.
