History
The St. Stephens Cafe was conceptualized as part of a way to replace a bar in downtown Brocton and help its connecting corporation, Breathe Life of WNY, produce a self-sustaining model of operation that would allow it to not be wholly reliant on donations. It's located in the historic St. Stephens Hotel building (formerly The American Hotel) built in 1862 and works to maintain much of the character imbued in the building during it's lifetime, including the bar in the main restaurant from the 1901 World State Fair and much of the woodworking and detailing.
