Academy of Mount St. Ursula
Academy of Mount St. Ursula, a girl s Catholic college preparatory school, was established in 1855 and is located in Bronx, N.Y. The school is one of the oldest continuous Catholic high schools for girls in New York, and is owned and administered by the Ursuline Sisters of the Roman Union. It has a faculty and staff of more than 50 people, including Ursuline Sisters, and a student body of over 500. The school offers a teacher-student ratio of 1-to-15, and an average class size of up to 25 students. Its curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as religion, English, science, social studies, foreign language, mathematics, art and music, physical education, and business studies. Academy of Mount St. Ursula also offers advance placement courses, including English, Spanish language and literature, biology, calculus, United States history, and Latin.
