St. Mary's provides health care and educational services for special needs children, and children with debilitative diseases. Founded in 1870, the hospital's mission is to provide free health care to sick children.
They are a non-for-profit organization, treating a myriad of health disorders, including but not limited to: children with brain injuries, complications from premature birth, severe asthma, orthopedic disorders, HIV/AIDS, and other ailments. They provide home care in addition to outpatient care.
St. Mary's also has a medical camp, afterschool and weekend programs for ages five to 18 which combines therapy and care with recreation for children suffering from physical and cognitive disabilities.
